How long does it take for a port-in to complete?
Once you click “Activate,” your port-in request will be submitted. The transfer usually takes between 30 minutes and 48 hours to complete, depending on your previous carrier’s policies.
To help speed up the process, please review the following checklist:
Verify Phone Compatibility: If bringing your own phone (BYOP), ensure it’s unlocked and compatible with Infimobile’s network. Check compatibility at infimobile.com or dial #06# for your IMEI. New phones from Infimobile don’t require this step.
Keep Current Service Active: Do not cancel your existing service until the port-in is complete. Cancelling early risks permanently losing your number to the original carrier.
Remove Porting Protections: Disable any fraud or service protections (e.g., SIM swap safeguards) with your current carrier to avoid delays in the transfer process.
Have Account Details Ready: Obtain your current carrier’s account number and number transfer PIN (also called porting PIN or account PIN). This may be temporary, so request it when you’re ready to port. Contact your carrier if needed.
Enter Correct ZIP Code: Provide the correct ZIP code for your area to confirm Infimobile service availability. If your ZIP code isn’t supported, try nearby ZIP codes to complete the port-in.
